Occupational Health and Safety Personal equipment, often referred to as "PPE" (Personal Protective Equipment), is equipment used to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses.
These injuries and illnesses can result from contact with chemical, radiological, physical, electrical, mechanical, or other workplace hazards.
Personal protective equipment; includes items such as gloves, safety glasses and shoes, headphones or earplugs, hard hats, respiratory masks or overalls, vests and full-body clothing, radiation dose meters.
