The STS4 is the world’s only data acquisition system that has been designed by civil engineers expressly for structural testing.

STS4 Unique Features

4-Channel Wireless Nodes
Rugged four-channel data acquisition units powered by long-lasting Li-Ion batteries and utilize standard wireless network communication protocol.

Wireless Base Stations
Ruggedized network hubs generate the wireless network for the STS4 nodes and the user’s computer. Multiple Wireless Base Stations can be linked.

Intelliducers
Plug & Play feature dramatically reduces the time and effort required to track sensor cabling and associated settings.

Automatic Load Position Indicator
Tracks the position of the applied live load (e.g. test truck or train) during the load testing phase.

STS-LIVE
Allows the user to immediately initiate the system and begin testing with very little configuration required, while also giving the user some powerful tools.

How it Works
Engineer determines the live load responses to be quantified and develops the instrumentation plan for the structure.
Structure is quickly instrumented with required sensors connected to nearby STS4 nodes.
Wireless Base Station is set up near the project site (e.g. on the river bank under the bridge), which generates the wireless network fort he STS4 nodes and the PC.
The Automatic Load Position Tracker can be used to track the position of the applied load (e.g. truck, train crossing a bridge etc).
STS4 nodes digitize the data and wirelessly transmit the data back to the user’s PC in real time.
